Students in 1st-5th grades learn Biblical teaching and values in a way that is engaging, age-appropriate and relevant to their lives. We want students to understand the message of the Bible while fosting a love for God and an understanding of Christian values. They will learn biblical principals such as faith, love, forgiveness and salvation and how to apply them to their everyday lives.
Younger children are at an age where relationships are crucial for their overall development. These relationships provide the emotional support, social skills and guidance that children need as they grow.
Our teachers strive to help students gain and maintain a foundation for furture relationships learning how to communicate, empathize, cooperate and navigate social dynamics. Teaching students how to work through conflict and have healthy relationships with adults and peers is essential and something our teachers teach and model for our lower school children. These relationships play a vital role in shaping their sense of self, how they interact with one another and how they navigate the world around them. Using biblical principles we can help students have healthy, long lasting relationships that are pleasing to God.
Our lower school teachers are highly qualified and provide a safe, positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment. Lower school students learn foundational and academic skills while engaging in a variety of activities in the subjects of math, reading, science, social studies, and Bible. They also pariticipate in art, music, PE, Spanish, Technology, library and life skills throughout each week.
Our teachers promote active learning, collaboration, and a sense of security and belonging. Our day begins every morning with all school praise and worship before dismissing to their individual classrooms.
