Our youngest students are not too young to learn about the grace of Jesus and the importance of a relationship with God. In our early childhood classes we focus on basic biblical principles such as grace, forgiveness, mercy and the goodness of God.
Each week our early childhood classes learn a different story in the Bible as the teachers help them to understand how the concepts of that story relate to our lives today.
Students will also learn a memory verse each week. They will learn the verse, discuss what it means and understand that by memorizing God's Word they are hiding it in their hearts.
Relationships formed between young children and the significant adults and peers in their lives, such as parents, caregivers, teachers and classmates is an integral part of early childhood learning. At FHS we know these relationships play a crucial role in a child's overall development, influencing their emotional, social and cognitive growth.
We cultivate positive interactions and nurturing relationships as children learn to make friends. We learn about how God wants us to treat one another and help lay the groundwork to healthy social emotional development.
Our early childhood teachers are experienced and highly qualified. They aim to foster development across key areas such as cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and language skills all while integrating the truths of scripture.
Our early childhood curriculum is developmentally age appropriate and includes Bible, math, science, literacy, phonics, fine and gross motor skills, music and art.
Our early childhood classes are play-based and child-centered encouraging exploration, creativity and hands-on learning.
