The mission of FHS Christian School is to enter to learn as unique individuals and exit to serve as the body of Christ.
CORE Values
Biblical truth-in principle and application-and full devotion to Christ is our central mission (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Kings 9:4).
Relationships that are based on nurturing and accountability-people matter to God, therefore they matter to us. (Luke 15;Hebrews 10:24-25)
Excellence and professionalism in all we do honors God and inspires people. (Philippians 4:8; Colossians 3:17)
Endurance and durability-we believe in the great value of a Christian education and we are established and rooted-we will be here tomorrow. (Isaiah 54; Philippians 1:6).
Diversity-everyone is a unique gift of God-created in God's image, so we are committed to helping everyone be the very best they can be. (1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:15-16)
God created-That both genders and races were created in God's image, on purpose and for a purpose (Genesis 1:26-27)
Philosophy
FHS Christian School bases its educational philosophy on a Christian worldview which comes from the truths of the Christian faith. Education can most effectively be accomplished in an environment which recognizes that all truth is God's truth. The fear of the Lord is the foundation of all wisdom and knowledge. Scripture clearly teaches that parents are responsible for their children's education and discipline. the school is not a substitute for the home, but is an extension of the home and one means through which parents fulfill the responsibility God has given them.
At FHS Christian School we are dedicated to training young people in areas of knowledge that will allow them to understand clearly, think, deeply, judge wisely, and have the courage to live their lives on the great principles and convictions of God's Word. The faculty is the heart of the shool, forming the core that will inspire, nurture and instruct children and youth to meet the challenging years ahead. They are dedicated individuals desiring to instill a love for learning as well as the ability and desire to continue learning.
Biblical principles and teachings are the threads around which all curriculum and policies and activities are wound. Personal growth in the body of Christ requires that the student develop a disciplined and dedicated love of Christ that will enable him to apply Christ-like character to his life, his work, his decisions, and his interactions with others. All children are encouraged to hold themselves accountable to convictions from the Holy Spirit, and given the "Fruits of the Spirit" as guides for all actions and interactions, FHS Christian School hopes to further our students academic career along with the heart and head knowledge to lead each child to a relationship with Christ.
